Western Meadowlark

History of Mountains, Beasts and Birds

Scripture is a trustworthy record of history. A film that makes this point well is “Is Genesis History?” Conventional views contrived by man in the last 200 years to come up with another version of history are a diversion from the truth. It is better to trust God’s word and walk humbly with Him.

The other morning, I enjoyed listening to a Western Meadowlark singing, and watched horses grazing in the distance, with snow-covered Rocky Mountains beyond them. The scene is consistent with Psalm 104:8-12. God made the mountains rise (verse 8). He provides water for the beasts of the field (verse 11). He made birds that perch on trees to sing (verse 12). God’s word through the working of the Holy Spirit, enables us to be confident in the truth and know that the LORD is very great.

“O LORD, how manifold are your works! In wisdom have you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures.” Psalm 104:24

Response:

“I will sing to the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have being. May my meditation be pleasing to him, for I rejoice in the LORD.” Psalm 104:34
