In the Spring, plants emerge from the dead leaves and grass and provide us with amazing images of rejoicing in the LORD. Birds like the Western Meadowlark also arrive with the most welcomed songs.
“The LORD reigns, let the earth rejoice” Psalm 97:1
“Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises!” Psalm 98:4
I took both of the wildflower photos in this post on the same day (April 23, 2011) in Castlewood Caynon State Park near Franktown, Colorado. I created a soft focus for the Pasque flower photo because they are so fuzzy-soft in character. The other wildflower featured is the Western Spring Beauty. This plant was studied on the Lewis and Clark journey.
Let us join in with the rejoicing and praises.
“Rejoice in the LORD, O you righteous, and give thanks to his holy name!” Psalm 97:12
“Sing praises to the LORD with the lyre, with the lyre and the sound of melody! With trumpets and the sound of the horn make a joyful noise before the King, the LORD!”Psalm 98:5-6
We can look forward to each day in the LORD.
“For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and this faithfulness to all generations.” Psalm 100:5
